Hosted by Lippman Librarian Sam Siskind, we will discuss the novel "How to Find Your Way in the Dark" by Derek B. Miller. Winner of the 2022 Association of Jewish Libraries Jewish Fiction Award, the book tells the story of a twelve-year-old boy named Sheldon Horowitz recovering from the tragic deaths of his parents as he begins a new life in Hartford with his uncle and two cousins. Taking place during World War II, they come to terms with their place in the turbulent world. The book combines a murder mystery with elements of comedy as well as history connected with the WWII timeframe.
A limited number of copies are available in Rodef Shalom's Lippman Library. Reading the book beforehand is recommended but not necessary. RSVP to Sam at siskind@rodefshalom.org.
