TRADITION · DIGNITY · TRUST

West View Cemetery, the successor to Bes Almon Cemetery on Troy Hill, was dedicated in 1880.  Of the 110 acres owned, only 35 are being utilized for burials. With an on-site superintendent residing on the grounds, dedicated workers maintain over 6,000 grave sites with various plantings grown in on-site greenhouses. These skilled landscapers not only maintain the grave sites with the utmost care, but also understand the special meaning of preparing a Jewish grave site for burial.  In addition to grave sites, West View Cemetery also operates a community mausoleum which accommodates both crypts and niches for cremations.

Pre-Need Planning

Jewish life is a sacred pilgrimage.  Before we complete that journey, we must prepare for its end, and our eternal resting place.  Pre-need planning enables you to make these decisions, relieving your loved ones of the financial and emotional burdens during their time of need, while assuring your preferences are honored.  West View offers a full range of affordable choices including traditional in-ground sites and mausoleum internment, all in full compliance with Reform Jewish rites and customs.

Mausoleum Internment

Since Abraham and Sarah, aboveground burial has been a time-honored Jewish tradition. With stately character and easy access, the mausoleum offers respectable dignity and timelessness for personalized visitation. Crafted of granite, it houses 12 outside companion crypts and 12 inside single crypts. Inside, 24 niches rest under a window illuminated by morning sunlight. Your choice of crypt or niche includes opening, closing, and sealing costs, casket protection, and inscriptions, providing a dignified entombment and a loving alternative to in-ground burial.

Perpetual Care

As our Jewish journey leads to inevitable eternal rest, perpetual care at West View Cemetery brings comfort, knowing our sacred ground will be lovingly tendered in perpetuity.  Assuring a peaceful place for reflection and remembrance is a hallmark of West View's tradition of impeccable care that mirrors our religlious heritage.
