Organizations

For those interested in taking an active role in the life of Rodef Shalom Congregation, we offer our Brotherhood and Sisterhood organizations and Youth Groups. While each group has a different constituency, all share a purpose: to serve as a platform for learning, fellowship, and service.

Brotherhood, an all-male group, is dedicated to “Temple, Community, and Fellowship.” These ideals are made manifest by Brotherhood members as they promote deep and abiding connections among the men of Rodef Shalom and perform acts of service to the Temple community and the community at large. Our Sisterhood serves much the same purpose for the Women of Rodef Shalom as its members endeavor to improve the life of our Congregation and those who dwell in the Pittsburgh region. Youth groups give our youngest members opportunities to learn about Jewish life, culture, and identity as they engage with one another, the synagogue, and the world through fun and educational activities.
