Much of what we do at Rodef Shalom is under the purview of Jeffrey Herzog. With a strong educational background, 30 years of executive experience, and a lifelong commitment to Judaism, he ably oversees the myriad committees, our facility, and our staff. His friendly nature makes him a perfect partner of our members, trustees, and staff.
In his lengthy career, Jeff earned two national awards from the National Association of Temple Administrators (NATA) for service to both the organization and to the community. As NATA Board Member, he serves on the Placement and Membership Committees and chaired their Professional Education Committee. He also holds leadership positions in various Jewish and secular community organizations. Before becoming Rodef Shalom’s executive director, Jeff was an active Rodef Shalom congregant, and religious school teacher. He’s also worked as the Associate Director, then Associate Executive Director, of the Health Research and Services Foundation in Pittsburgh. Jeff was also the Associate Director of the Peace Corps in Honduras. Jeff holds a bachelor of arts and masters degree from American University. He and his wife, Jacki, have five children.
In 2011, Jeff was recognized for 20 years of dedicated service to Rodef Shalom.
