I know you share the sadness and pain I feel in the wake of the tragic violence in Newtown, CT. Our hearts and prayers are with the victims and their loved ones.
From November 11-17, Rabbis Bisno, Henry and Hertz will be taking the Food Stamp Challenge, in which we will attempt to spend no more than $31.50 each for a week's worth of food. This number represents the average national allocation provided for a participant in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). It works out to about $1.50 per meal.
