From the East

• From the Turnpike West, take Exit 6 (Monroeville) to Pittsburgh. The Temple is approximately 17 miles from Exit 6.
• Follow Route 376 West into Pittsburgh.
• Exit at Oakland (Bates Street).
• Go up Bates Street (a small hill), and change to the right lane.
• Proceed straight through the intersection, crossing the Boulevard of the Allies.
• Continue on Bates Street for several more blocks.
• Turn left onto Bouquet Street, and continue for several more blocks to Forbes Avenue, where you will turn right.
• Follow the directions from Oakland below.

From the North

• From I-79 southbound, follow the signs to I-279 South and continue into the city.
• Follow signs to I-579 South and watch for overhead signs to the Veteran’s Bridge.
• Take the Veteran’s Bridge Exit. When you cross the Veterans Bridge, stay in the center lane.
• Follow signs for I-376 East to Monroeville. You will need to be in the right lane.
• Take the narrow ramp onto the Boulevard of the Allies.
• Stay in left lane to Oakland and take the next exit to the right.
• You will be on Forbes Avenue.
• Follow the directions from Oakland below.

From the South, West, and the Airport

• From I-79 northbound, take the Pittsburgh Exit onto I-279 northbound.
• Enter the city through the Fort Pitt Tunnel.
• Cross the bridge and follow the signs for I-376 East.
• Exit I-376 at the Oakland exit.
• Follow the directions from Oakland below.

From Downtown Pittsburgh

• From Grant Street, turn east onto Forbes Avenue.
• Follow the directions from Oakland below.

From Oakland

• On Forbes Avenue, stay in middle lane.
• Proceed through the business district of Oakland, passing the Cathedral of Learning on your left and The Carnegie Museum on your right.
• Continue through the traffic light at Craig Street.
• Change to the left lane.
• Turn left at Morewood Avenue and change to the left lane (the right lane is for right turns only).
• Go straight through the traffic light and cross Fifth Avenue.
• Rodef Shalom Temple is on the left side. Make the second left into the parking lot.
